The Jagiellonian University School of Medicine first started its English curriculum in 1994. Rapid growth over the years has resulted in nearly 700 students receiving a medical and dental education from this prestigious Krakow medical university.

The oldest medical college in Poland, Jagiellonian University’s School of Medicine in English offers two highly regarded programs to study medicine in Krakow. The four-year medical program is for qualified graduates of pre-medical university programs holding a Bachelor’s Degree or higher. The six-year program is for graduates of secondary schools. The first part of the curriculum focuses on basic science courses as well as learning the Polish language to prepare students to be able to communicate with non-English speaking patients. Relatively new to the European English language medical school scene, Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University (AFMKU) has developed rapidly into a renowned academic institution.

Established in 2000, this progressive Krakow medical school became the very first non-public university in Poland to offer medical studies in 2015 and began educating future doctors the following year. The Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow Medical University offers a different approach to teaching medicine with an interdisciplinary study concept that combines the modules of the entire study program.
