My name is Robert Alexander and I come from a small town in Hessen, Germany. Before I came to Berlin to study at the Overseas Medical Education Network’s Academy, I did not do much traveling. Except one week on the small island Borkum with my family when I was much younger, I have never really been anywhere else. When I thought about doing my pre-med course in a big city Berlin, I was a bit worried, to say the least.

Since I was a kid, it has always been my dream to become a doctor. But my high school grades were not always the best. I’d heard of the Berlin Medical Academy, but never really thought about going to another country to study there. When I called and talked to the office about the program and my concerns, they were so nice and reassuring. Long story short, my preparation in Berlin was wonderful. The city is so fascinating – it never lacks things. Of course you have to spend a lot of time during your studies for lessons and homework. But my time in Berlin was so valuable.

Now I am preparing to start my first semester at the Slovak Medical University in Slovakia thanks to OME’s help. I passed my entrance exam with ease – my premed course has prepared me really well – and I am absolutely confident that I am well prepared for my first year of medical study.
